Me, Adam and Stu set off on our 2 day,1 night skate trip to Leeds early on Thursday morning.
As soon as we set foot in Leeds we wandered up to Hyde Park seeking directions from local, friendly Uni students. We were astounded at the abundance of amazing skate spots on the way, each one being 212 times better than the whole of Derby.
We stopped off at those famous black rails (the ones that willow flipped in the recent recognition tour) and Adam wasted no time in landing a flip front board down the bigger rail. This was quickly followed by a nollie tre from Stu and a switch inward heel from me over the smaller rail.
When we got to Hyde park we were hyped and skated like crazy chickens for around 6 hours.
As the evening drew in we made our way to the Travelodge, booked in, and went off to get some food. After,we spent the evening watching a programme about space communication and went to sleep to 'Piers Morgans' Life Stories -Kathryne Jenkins'.
We were faced with sleeping in a tropical climate inside our room and so had to open the window...unfortunately the Travelodge was situated 10 metres from the railway station and we were therefore constantly awoken by passing trains.aaaarghh...
We got up early next morning and set off for another day of skating.
We entered 'The Hogs Head', anticipating a full English breakfast. We were stopped in our tracks when a foreign woman frantically started shouting 'shut..shut.....SHUT!' at us.We realised that it didn't open until 10 and were so put off that we quickly settled on a McDonald's; which was actually really nice.
We then went back down to Hyde park again as the weather was too nice to waste inside The Works.
An amazing time was had by all.
